40507 I {heart} Billund
Rated 10+, 1,404 pieces, 749 DKK
Available exclusively at the LEGO House from 1st March.

The newest LEGO House Exclusive Set pays tribute to the birthplace of the LEGO brick, bringing Billund’s most iconic LEGO landmarks to life in miniature.

LEGO House, the Home of the Brick, today unveils its 2026 exclusive set today, I {heart} Billund (40507), a heartfelt tribute to the hometown of the LEGO Group and the place where LEGO creativity began.

Made from 1404 LEGO elements, the set captures the heart and history of Billund through a collection of miniature landmarks, each representing a chapter of LEGO history and innovation.

Designed by LEGO House Master Builders in collaboration with designers from the LEGO Group, this Special Edition set invites fans to celebrate Billund’s past, present, and future through the universal language of the LEGO brick.

"Billund is the heart of our story. It’s where LEGO play began and where it keeps evolving," says Søren Bering Andersen, Head of Experiences, LEGO House. "With I {heart} Billund, we wanted to capture not just the landmarks, but the feeling of what this place means to families, fans, and everyone who’s ever dreamed in LEGO bricks."

From the architectural lines of LEGO House itself to the rides and attractions of LEGOLAND Billund, the innovative presence of LEGO Campus and the town’s early connections to travel and play, every element in I {heart} Billund reflects how a small Danish town grew into the global home of play and creativity.

A Build That Brings the Whole Family Together

The set is built around four modular sections: three landscape modules connected by a shared base, allowing families or friends to build different parts of Billund at the same time before assembling them into one cohesive display.

Every section celebrates a unique story from Billund’s creative landscape:

LEGO House – The Home of the Brick

At the heart of the model stands LEGO House itself, recreated with its signature stacked brick design and colours representing the endless creative possibilities of LEGO play.

Hidden details for attentive builders include:

  • A miniature Tree of Creativity, complete with the crane symbolising how the LEGO Group is ever evolving.
  • A gold trophy element celebrating the LEGO Masters Academy, which recently introduced its new Level 1 experience.
  • Four smaller zones built in red, yellow, green, and blue, representing the four core Experience Zones for Learning Through Play within LEGO House.
  • A Danish flag flying above LEGO House, marking its place as the creative heart of Billund.

LEGOLAND Billund

The world’s first LEGOLAND park is brought to life through recognisable landmarks such as the Medieval Castle, Observation Tower, and Miniland buildings.

Playful Easter eggs include:

  • The Dragon roller coaster, winding through the towers.
  • A miniature train that pays homage to Miniland’s nostalgic rides.
  • A nod to the LEGOLAND guards, built in micro-scale detail.
  • A playful “LEGOLAND Billund” gateway to welcome visitors.

LEGO Campus, Ole Kirk’s House, and LEGO System House

This section captures the heart of Billund’s creative heritage and working LEGO environment, bringing together several historic and present-day landmarks:

  • LEGO Campus, featuring green roof gardens and a miniature version of the giant welcoming minifigure, cleverly represented using a baby minifigure element as a playful Easter egg.
  • Ole Kirk’s House, the historic home of LEGO founder Ole Kirk Christiansen, represented as a tribute to the values of craftsmanship, quality, and care that shaped the earliest days of LEGO play. The model references the building’s distinctive architecture and the symbolic lions at its entrance, a quiet reminder of the pride and attention to detail that defined the LEGO group from the start.

  • LEGO System House (today known as the LEGO Idea House), where the LEGO System in Play was developed.
  • The Kornmarken Factory, complete with a tiny yellow LEGO delivery truck and interior production details that nod to the origins of LEGO brick manufacturing.
  • A red LEGO airplane appears in this module as a tribute to the LEGO airfield inaugurated in 1962, which later evolved into today’s Billund Airport, symbolising the company’s journey from local roots to global reach.

Designed with Heart, and a Place for You

Completing the build, a subtle pathway runs across all three modules, representing the real-life Billund Playline – a playful walking route connecting major LEGO landmarks across town.

Along the way, builders can add themselves to the story: the set includes space to place their own minifigure or family duo in the scene, making each I {heart} Billund model into a truly personal keepsake that reflects their own connection to Billund.

Launch Events and Designer Signing Sessions

To mark the launch of the 2026 LEGO House Exclusive Set, I {heart} Billund, LEGO House will host a series of launch events and designer signing sessions in Billund. The set will be introduced during two after-hours launch events at LEGO House on 27 and 28 February 2026, where invited guests will receive an early presentation of the 2026 LEGO House Exclusive Product.

Guests unable to attend the launch events will also have the opportunity to meet the designers behind the set during dedicated designer signing sessions in LEGO Square taking place at 15:00 to 16:30 CET, on 6, 13, and 20 March 2026. No ticket is required to attend the signing sessions.

The Ultimate LEGO Souvenir. Available Only in Billund

Like all LEGO House exclusives, I {heart} Billund will be available at the LEGO House Retail Store in Billund, Denmark, from 1 March 2026. For a limited time, the set will also be available to purchase at LEGOLAND Billund which opens 28 March 2026.

The set includes a collector’s booklet featuring historical insights into Billund and the buildings and attractions represented in the model.

The I {heart} Billund exclusive continues the LEGO House mission to connect fans with the heritage, design, and storytelling that make LEGO play truly timeless.

A New LEGO House Passport Cover to Mark the Moment

To celebrate the launch of I {heart} Billund, LEGO House is also introducing a new LEGO House passport cover, available exclusively in Billund.

Designed as a companion to the LEGO Passport, the cover features a refined gold finish inspired by the creative spirit of LEGO House and serves as a keepsake to mark a visit to the Home of the Brick.

The LEGO House passport cover will be available at the I {heart} Billund exclusive set launch events. After which, LEGO House guests who visit the Experience Zones can request the passport cover at the LEGO Store in LEGO House by showing their experience zone wristband, subject to availability.

Available only at LEGO House, the passport cover adds a new collectable layer to the LEGO Passport experience, giving guests a tangible way to remember their visit to Billund and continue their LEGO House journey beyond the day itself.

An Exclusive Art Print

To further celebrate the launch of I {heart} Billund, LEGO House will also introduce a limited-edition art print, available only in Billund.

The 2026 art print visually echoes the modular structure of the set, bringing together LEGO House, LEGOLAND Billund, LEGO Campus, Ole Kirk’s House, LEGO System House, and the Kornmarken Factory in a graphic composition inspired by architectural line work and LEGO geometry. Designed as a companion piece to the physical model, the print highlights key landmarks and subtle details from the set in a collectable display format.

Like the exclusive set and passport cover, the art print will be available only at LEGO House in Billund, subject to availability.

The set will cost 749 DKK, which equates to roughly £88, $118 or €100.

By in United Kingdom,

Love this !!. I was not a huge fan of the last two, even though I went to the launch event last year. This is much more me, and will fit in with the Billund Airport model well. If I am not mistaken this will be Stuart Halls last one as well, so a fitting tribute. I will be picking up at least one in November when I attend LIT 2026 !!!!

By in United States,

I’ve been to Billund. It would be exciting to buy if I just visited there, but as a standalone set it doesn’t command as much interest as say the pirate captain set or wooden duck, or even the tree of creativity I’d argue.

Strengths an weaknesses, but good to know the background!

By in Netherlands,

Not my cup of tea, it looks a little disjointed. The Lego house is a worse version of the one they had before as well.

By in United Kingdom,

Fun fact: the word "Billund" contains all the letters needed to create the word "Build" :)

By in United Kingdom,

Will pick one up when I go on the LIT in October

By in Denmark,

Now THIS I definitely must have!

By in United States,

Oh, look... a new unique baby minifigure that will most likely only be available if you can afford a plane ticket or the ridiculous aftermarket pricing. Oh, Joy!

By in Italy,

I'm a bit underwhelmed. I don't find it so attractive or unique.

In addition, from the Duck onwards these sets had a coherent look, with the black tiled base. Like they belonged to a proper collection.
And then this year they change that with a white frame...

It also contains a not insignificant portion of "Bill und Teds Ausgezeichnetes Abentuer".

Feiert Weiter! Ausgezeichnet, Dude!

Looks like a great reason to plan another trip to Billund (as if I needed one!).

Actually, the first two quotes that come to my mind from the German dub of said movie are

Volle Kanne, Hoschis!
and
Bunt ist das Dasein und granatenstark!

Often a movie that's funny in the original loses a lot in the German dub, mainly because a lot of the jokes don't translate well.
In the case of Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure though the German version is just as funny as the original.

Party on dudes!

By in Germany,

As for the set, I prefer the Idea House set from a couple of years ago. Looks better imho, and you didn't need to go there in order to be able to get it.

By in Germany,

I think it's the weakest set in the series. Already own the large Architecture set and several Legoland sets, so the only novelty is the Campus, which was also done as a limited set before. Also why change the black base and name plaque on the 7th set? Looks completely out of place.
Would have been better to make another homage to a classic theme like Classic Space, Castle, Adventurers.

By in Netherlands,

Decent set, but not one that would make me consider going to Billund. I do still want that Pirate though....so who knows...

By in Puerto Rico,

What a great little set.

By in Australia,

Hey, I've been there! Finally endured the 40 hour plus trip from Australia to get to Billund last year. I ended up picking up the Duck as luggage constraints meant that I could only bring one thing home and the set designer was in store signing them.

Not a massive fan of this set but I do love that I have context now and can place the House and the park relative to each other and the town.

House exclusive elements appear on Pick a Brick, in fact you can still pick up the "Minifigure Tribute" tile (at least in the US)

By in United States,

None of the House exclusive sets have really interested me before, but this one does for one small reason. No, it’s not the two-tone baby. It’s the Ole Kirk house. That’s the only LIT set I’ve seen that I really wish I owned, but I couldn’t even budget for the employee gift version. I’ve got a 10”x20” LEGO Store MOC that’s shaped like a giant red 2x4 brick, but I’ve also thought it would be cool to put the Ole Kirk house on a layout someday. This wouldn’t do it, but at least I’d own an official model of it.
